Summary

States that although Qatar has one of the strongest economies in the Gulf Cooperation Council, businesses there suffer from the impact of exceptionally high start-up and operational costs. Companies are being assailed by increased competition, the saturation of certain business sectors and inflationary pressures in a region not well used to dealing with the resultant financial pressures.
