Building, 2 October 2015: Consultants working in the Middle East can be liable for problems with a building for up to ten years following its completion
Warns consultants of the Middle East’s decennial liability. This is a form of liability which does not exist in the UK but is a common feature of the Arab civil codes. The particular scope varies between countries, but in general, contractors, architects, supervising engineers and design professionals are liable for total or partial collapse of the building for ten years after delivery.
