Alwasat, 17 December 2015: The Chairman of the Authority of the electrical link between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, Matar Hamid Alniady has announced work has started to establish the GCC Joint Electricity Market and it is expected to be completed by 2020.
The announcement was made during the fourth forum of the Gulf Energy Trade 2015 in the UAE.
Alniady added GCC member states are trying to expand their collaboration in the energy sector to enhance the commercial benefits for all members.
