The charter will be implemented by the standardisation authorities in the GCC member states by July 2016.
The Organisation’s General Director, Nabil Malla said the aim of the charter is to ensure the safety and quality of the products launched in the GCC markets and is part of moves towards the establishment of the Customs Union.
Malla added it sets out the unified procedures to inspect safety requirements.
