Raya, 25 October 2015: The Assistant Undersecretary for Standards and Meteorology Affairs at Qatar’s Environment Ministry, Dr Mohamed Saif Alkwari has announced a new set of international specifications for cars is under consideration.
The aim is to enhance security and safety in the country.
If approved, the specifications will be adopted by the Government and turned into executive technical charters to be introduced and their implementation will be mandatory.
The new specifications will be introduced to Gulf Cooperation Council member states as well and will include 80 internationally recognised tests.
