Summary

Jean-Marc Mantegani, former Money Laundering Reporting Officer of Horizon Crescent Wealth LLC (HCW), appealed a decision by the Qatar Financial Centre Regulatory Authority (QFCRA) which found him in violation of several Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) requirements, imposing a financial penalty and prohibiting him from functioning within the Qatar Financial Centre indefinitely. Mantegani argued he did not fail in his duties and attributed responsibility to HCW’s former CEO. The Tribunal, however, found sufficient grounds in the QFCRA's findings to uphold the decision, noting Mantegani’s ineffective oversight.
