President's<br>Message
“2025 brought further growth and development for the QICDRC as we continued to strengthen our position among the world's leading commercial courts. A major milestone this year was the launch of the QICDRC Training Programme on International Commercial Courts — a high-quality course delivered by the Registry together with QICDRC Judges, focused on litigation and procedure at international courts with a particular emphasis on the QICDRC's own jurisprudence.
We were delighted that senior lawyers from top law firms in Doha participated in the inaugural cohort. The Programme blended case-method teaching with practical advocacy exercises, giving participants direct insight into how international commercial disputes are managed from filing through to judgment.
Participants provided outstanding feedback on both the content and delivery, and each received formal litigation accreditation from the QICDRC. The Programme concluded with a gala dinner attended by the trainers and Judges — an opportunity to build lasting professional relationships between the bench and the bar.
Alongside training, 2025 saw us deepen our engagement with international counterparts. We welcomed delegations from several jurisdictions and signed new cooperation memoranda that reinforce the QICDRC's role as a trusted venue for cross-border dispute resolution.
Given the success of the Training Programme, we will run two courses each year going forward: the full three-day programme for practitioners new to international commercial litigation, and a top-up course for alumni of previous editions. This will help us build a growing community of practitioners fluent in the procedures and standards that underpin the QICDRC.
I am grateful to the Registry, the Judges, and our partners for their dedication throughout the year. The milestones of 2025 give us great confidence as we look ahead to an even more ambitious 2026.”
