Saudi Arabia: Banking Licence Granted to First Qatari Institution

Arabian Business, 14 September 2015: Saudi Arabia’s Council of Ministers has granted Qatar’s National Bank a licence to open a branch inside the Kingdom.

The licence is the first to be granted to a Qatari lender.

It comes less than a week after Qatar's Central Bank announced it would grant licences to fellow Gulf Cooperation Council banks to open branches there.
