The Qatar International Court and Dispute Resolution Centre (QICDRC) has welcomed a delegation from Astad, headed by the CEO Mr. Ali Al-Khalifa and received by CEO of QICDRC, Mr. Faisal Al-Sahouti. After a discussion between the two, the CEO’s were given a tour of the courtroom where Mr. Al-Khalifa presented Mr. Al-Sahouti with a gift to mark Astad’s visit.
This was followed by a seminar hosted by Dr. Zain Sharar, Senior Legal Counsel at QICDRC. Dr. Zain gave a talk to delegates about the new arbitration law, with particular emphasis placed on the arbitration clause. The state-of-the-art case management system was also highlighted in the seminar, which provided delegates with an idea of the procedural facilities available at QICDRC. A Q&A session then took place after the seminar, where delegate members were keen on learning the circumstances in which the arbitration law can be applied.
