The judicial forum is a unique international judicial event for commercial courts where many heads of judicial councils from 35 different countries participate in order to strengthen cooperation between commercial courts, to uphold the international commitment to the rule of law activate the role of judicial institutions and to promote judicial work in accordance with the best international standards. The theme of this year's conference focused on issues related to the establishment of an international protocol for the implementation of international commercial court rulings, case management and court technology, as well as the issue of third-party financing, and some issues related to arbitration.
The trial of the Qatar International Court was also introduced by applying the electronic system for case management – eCourt- which contributed to the service of litigants by granting them the opportunity to register the newspapers and documents of the lawsuit electronically. The review of the experience of Qatar International Court welcomed and praised the judges of the countries participating in the forum, especially with regards to enabling the parties living in one of the embargo countries to attend the electronic hearings who were unable to attend because of the political siege.
The MoU initiative on mutual recognition of trade provisions and how to implement them was also announced at the conference.
