On Women’s Judges Day, we acknowledged the need for greater female representation in the judiciary. The QICDRC took part in the Lusail Career Fair 2024, reaching out to aspiring professionals exploring careers in Qatar’s legal sphere. The Qatar International Court and Dispute Resolution Centre was pleased to announce Thomas Williams from Sultan Al-Abdulla & Partners Law Firm as the winner of the 2023 Pro Bono Award, for his outstanding achievement and exceptional commitment to pro bono at the QICDRC. This Award recognises and celebrates the hard work and dedication demonstrated by Thomas Williams and Sultan Al-Abdulla & Partners Law Firm in volunteering their time and expertise to assist individuals with limited financial means.

Annual Review 2022 - Corporate Social Responsibility - QICDRC offers immersive learning experiences to College of Law students

As part of QICDRC’s commitment towards supporting educational institutions in Qatar, the Court welcomed a number of students from Qatar University’s College of Law program throughout 2022.

The students were offered insight into the role of the Court and its relationship with Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) institutions, businesses and individuals.

Students were also able to attend hearings at the Court, gaining a richer learning experience by understanding how theory translates to practice.

Annual Review 2021 - Corporate Social Responsibility - Qatar International Court launches Tawafuq Coaching Programme for Legal Professionals

Earlier in the year, the QICDRC launched ‘Tawafuq’, the first coaching programme for legal professionals in Qatar, in collaboration with Takallam for Management Consultations. The year-round programme aims to empower legal professionals to achieve success, balance and wellbeing, both in the workplace and at home. It offers one-on-one coaching sessions, delivered by trained experts in the field, to encourage open communication and enhanced work-life balance.
