During an insightful panel discussion at the Qatar Business Law Forum Conference, which was hosted by our Strategic Alliance Partner Lexis Nexis Middle East, Dr. Zain, Senior Legal Counsel, provided a comprehensive address on the latest developments in construction law and dispute resolution.

QICDRC held a panel discussion titled "The Role of International Law in Resolving Territorial Disputes" at the 21st edition of the Doha Forum this year. During this discussion, the panellists emphasised the significance of international law in safeguarding peace, international relations, and security.

The Qatar International Court and Dispute Resolution Centre (QICDRC) hosted a seminar and panel discussion on the role of expert witnesses with proficient international professionals. The seminar, titled "The Role of Expert Witnesses in International Commercial Dispute Resolution," was presented in Qatar in collaboration with Reed Smith, Crowell & Moring, and PwC Middle East.

The court participated in the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators Qatar Conference and Annual General Meeting 2023. We were honoured to participate in such an important event for Qatar’s legal community as we gained new insights and knowledge from industry leaders in arbitration.

QICDRC, in company with international law firm Charles Russell Speechlys LLP, hosted a seminar titled "Dispute Resolution: The Case for Mediation". The seminar focused on the purpose of mediation and its potential use as an early, swift, and cost-effective dispute resolution (ADR) method.

QICDRC participated in the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) Mediation Seminar titled, "Mediation for Business: A Pragmatic Means of Resolving Disputes". QICDRC was honoured to have been a part of this event and to have had the opportunity to contribute to its success.

This forum was an important opportunity to learn about the latest developments in Qatar’s business law, as well as to network with other leading legal professionals in Qatar.

Qatar International Court and Dispute Resolution Centre was pleased to have been joined by several esteemed guests at this year's Mediation Forum. The forum, which discussed Qatar's new Mediation Law, Virtual Mediation, the Singapore Convention on Mediation, and the future of Mediation in Qatar and the Middle East at large, provided a platform for the exchange of ideas and knowledge, and reflected the dedication of Qatar International Court to foster a culture and understanding of mediation and dispute resolution in Qatar.

Qatar International Court participated in a panel at the Doha Forum to discuss the need to mobilise the Rule of Law in response to the Climate Crisis. The panel, which included esteemed speakers from Qatar, the US, and the Netherlands, discussed the need to accelerate environmental law enforcement strategies to protect the environment and combat climate change.
