Legal Clinic FAQ's

Can individuals seek assistance from the QICDRC Legal Clinic on behalf of someone else, such as a family member or friend, who may not be able to access legal services themselves?

Yes, this is permitted, but only with the expressed written authority from the individual on behalf of whom advice is sought, particularly if they are physically unable to attend—for instance, a family member who may be ill and unable to attend the advising session.

Will the QICDRC Legal Clinic provide ongoing support throughout the duration of a legal case, or is it limited to initial advice only?

The scheme offers a 30-minute consultation session with the Panel Law Firm. Any additional assistance provided beyond this session is at the discretion of the Panel Law Firm and will not fall under the scheme's coverage.
