2023 saw the publication of one Practice Direction – Access to Documents and Confidentiality (No. 1 of 2023). This Practice Direction applies equally to the Court and the Regulatory Tribunal. The Practice Direction allows, in certain circumstances, non-parties to apply to the Court/Regulatory Tribunal in order to have access to certain documents that have been deployed in a case. Special rules apply to the Qatar Financial Centre Authority and the Qatar Financial Centre Regulatory Authority. This is an important step that significantly increases transparency and accessibility to the various QICDRC institutions.
