QICDRC has welcomed a judicial delegation from Bahrain at the QICDRC’s premises in Doha.

The delegation was welcomed by Mr. Faisal Al-Sahouti, CEO of QICDRC, who briefed the delegation on the nature of the QICDRC, its jurisdiction and its procedures. There followed a discussion on common issues regarding judicial matters and, in particular, the operation of courts.
 

The delegation included Judge Abdulla Yacoub, Judge of court of cassation, Judge Abdulla Al-Ashraf, Judge of high civil court of appeal, Judge Ali Al-Dahrani, Judge of high civil court of appeal, Judge Mousa Al-Mousa, Judge of high civil court of appeal, Mr. Mohammed Al-Shareef, Director of Legal Excellence in the GCC Council, in addition to Judge Nasser Al-Khulaifi – Judge of court of Appeal – Supreme Council of Justice, Qatar
Mr. Al Sahouti emphasized the importance of exchanging expertise between both countries in order to assist in the development of the legal and judicial infrastructure which will ultimately lead to the more effective delivery of access to the courts and justice.
Following the discussion, the delegation toured the QICDRC’s facilities, visiting the courtroom and ADR center. The delegation had a brief explanation of some of the court’s procedures including the possibility of appeal against a judgment and how any appeal request shall be passed to a chamber of appeal to see if the request is legitimate or not.
