A year intended to be a celebration of the Court’s 10-year anniversary and an opportunity to look ahead to the next 10 years quickly turned into a year of instantaneous innovation, creativity, and community."
"Such unprecedented times puts core values to the test, and without a doubt, we proudly persevered as a team and as a community. Through our state-of-the-art technologies and eCourt system, our commitment to innovation and technology was at the forefront of our ability to facilitate access to justice without the need for litigants to physically appear before the Court.
Led by our vision to be recognised as the world’s leading forum for the resolution of international civil and commercial disputes, we added mediation to our list of services in an effort to provide the community with a considerably quicker and less expensive alternative to arbitration or litigation.
Ensuring that people do not become marginalised from the legal system during times of crisis was of critical importance to us, and by launching the Pro Bono Service, we solidified our commitment to providing a fair working environment and equal access to justice.
I am deeply proud of my team’s commitment and determination to continue to work each and every day to ensure members of our community have access to swift, fair and transparent dispute resolution – putting the community needs above all else.
And as we head into a post-pandemic world in 2021, on behalf of the Qatar International Court, we pledge to continue our relentless work to enhance the legal system and meet the objectives set forth in the Qatar National Vision 2030, which includes a modern and truly responsive judiciary system.”
