The parties will usually be responsible for the cost of their lawyers. The Tribunal will not normally order one party to pay another’s legal costs but is entitled to do so if it considers that justice so requires.

The Tribunal is a specialist appeal body tasked with hearing appeals against the decisions the Qatar Financial Centre entities. The Court applies international best practices in resolving civil and commercial disputes in accordance with the relevant provisions of the QFC Law.
Through its supervisory arbitrational jurisdiction under Law No 2 of 2017 issuing the Arbitration Law in Civil and Commercial Matters, parties can elect the QICDRC as the “Competent Court” of arbitration to perform various functions in relation to interim measures, enforcement of awards and appeals.
